Shape

In Crystallize, shapes are what you would use to define any added item. By default, there are three pre-defined shapes: document, folder, and product. However, you can add as many custom shapes as you require.

In order to perform these operations, ensure that you have the proper authentication (if necessary) and user permissions.

Name and Identifier

The name and the identifier are two of the values you can ask for when querying the shape of an item. You can change the shape name, but the identifier is assigned to the shape at the time of creation and cannot be changed at a later time.

Fetching Shape

To fetch the shape of an item, you can use the shape field. The field returns information such as the name, identifier, meta property, and the creation date.
